Just noticed the little links at the bottom of the forum pages.  I don't think they can get any less obtrusive.

I assume those are new?  Maybe I just never saw them before.

I don't know, but seeing as I never noticed them before and only did now when this thread pointed them out, I think they are pretty unobtrusive :)

I'm pretty sure those shouldn't be there, but am gonna have to find out for certain. At the very least, nobody mentioned them to me in advance. ;)

I didn't notice the ads until someone mentioned them... on the Rockbox main page, i would prefer unobtrusive ads (text?) at the bottom of the page.

The forums aren't hosted by Rockbox, they are hosted by Jeff (from MisticRiver), and he is the one who has put the adverts there.  I'm sure you can rest assured that he has sorted out his tax situation, but it is nothing to do with Rockbox per se.

So, if you guys were to put up ads for rockbox, they would only be on the homepage, header, and/or side bar, not the forums?

Yep, the main site, not the forums.  The ads that have appeared are not directly related to Rockbox itself - indirectly Jeff hosts the forums.
