k so i want to format my ipod to windows!!! its stupid!!!! i cant
my only friend w/ a pc cant format my ipod for me because he has a real old itunes and he cant update it, and thers now format for pc option.  SO, is there  program to format a mac ipod to windows format, on a mac. because that would be really handy instead of doin this crazy confusing crap!!!!!!!!!! i dont get it, its so confusing for me, when i enter the thing into terminal, i dont know what to do with the file called "mbr-video60gb.bin"  what am i suposed to do w/ it????? it says like navigate to the partition file, how do i do this?

If there was an easier way, we would've told you to use the easier way. We didn't just go and pick the most confusing one.

The instructions say to save it to a convenient location (e.g. on your hard drive).  What's confusing about that?  

Navigating your file system from the terminal is pretty basic stuff.  I'm sure you can find plenty of tutorials on this.  You just need to navigate to the directory that contains the file you downloaded so that the dd command will work as written.

To change directories in the terminal, just do "cd folder1/folder2" (without the quotes and where "folder1" and "folder2" represent different folders on the hard disk, respectively).
