USB in main builds - when?
« on: February 24, 2008, 06:43:02 PM »
Hi.
When we should expect USB support in main builds?
Would it be possible in far far future to add USB Host support for devices which are hardware-capable of USB HOST?
Is there any simplified guide how can I compile rockbox with USB support for my ipod? (I have x86_64 machine with GNU/Linux-based OS).

sorry for my english
Grawp

It will be in the main builds when it's working reliably. Seriously, there's no way to predict when the major bugs will be fixed.

USB Host will happen if people interested, like you, work on it.

I personally wouldn't trust the UMS mode until it's completely finished, but if you want to try it out, set up a build environment and do this.
