.rvf on X5
(1/1)
ghuber:
Hi,
I really love rockbox and I was even more fond of it when I discovered it supposedly could play movies as well.
I downloaded the .rvf conversion tools and converted some movies and tried to play them on my iAudio X5.
The first challenge, not seeing the .rvf files, I overcame by a forum search and so I switched on the "display all files". I can see the videos now, but when I press select or move the stick to the right, absolutely nothing happens.
From what I read in the forums, the files should play just well so I am wondering, what I am doing wrong. Even opening a context window "open with..." doesn't show any viewer/plugin to play the movie.
Did I forget to install something? A patch maybe?
Thank you very much for your help
GodEater:
.rvf is the format rockbox uses on the old Archos models for video playback. On an X5 you want to use MPEG1/2 - see the MpegPlayer plugin page in the wiki.

I humbly apologize for my stupidity...
Thank you for your answer.
