False alarm (was: IPod appears officially 'bricked')
Izzeh:
Well woke up this morning to turn on my iPod and well... it doesn't turn on... at all... Never encountered this problem and there is no response to charging.. mashing.. etc... I am positive it was charged fully as it was plugged in last night and I turned it off and shut down my computer at the same time...
Again: Blank screen; not responding to key press, charging, usb, hold switch on/off; I have been charging it for atleast 30 minutes and still not responding... Am I officially screwed?
Ps. I know this isn't exactly Installation/removal - But it appeared the best thread...
Febs:
Try resetting the iPod by turning the hold switch on and then off again, and then pressing and holding the Menu and Select buttons simultaneously for up to 30 seconds.

^ Not responding to key press, and a blank screen...
Izzeh:
Ok what the hell.. You can close this thread.. My iPod has been siting at the corner of my desk - not plugged in or anything.. I just looked over and all of a sudden it lit up and worked... that was COMPLETELY random...
Thanks for the help anyway :)

Yes, I am aware of what you wrote. "Not responding to key press" and "not responding to the reset sequence" are two different things.
