Help! No Cursor!

(1/1)

HandyAndyShortStack:
Hi everybody,
I was elated to find an OS for my 4th generation greyscale ipod that can play my OGGs.  I used the rockbox installation utility to produce what seems like a functional install of rockbox, only I cannot see what menu item I am selecting.  I have reinstalled using both current and archived versions (using the utility again), and managed to navigate my way blind into the themes menu to change the theme, all to no avail.  Is this an easy problem to fix? doesn't everyone with this media player experience the same problem?  What should I do? ??? :-[ :'( :'( :'(

pixelma:
There was a bug with the line selector (or cursor) on greyscale targets which was fixed right now. So if you update to the latest current build (r16381) the selector should be back.

P.S.: If this doesn't help, try resetting your settings too. You can do so by either switching hold to "on" when Rockbox boots (past the Apple boot screen as described in the manual) or deleting the config.cfg while the Ipod is attached to your computer.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions!  I tried updating to r16391, then I tried resetting my settings.  I still had the same problem.  I was checking the current build number to post here when I found that version r16392 was available.  I tried it and it WORKED  ;D ;D
Big thanks to pixelma and whoever tweaked that little tweak for version r16392.  I am loving my rockbox!!!!   8-)
