To my knowledge, they will only be added as "" for everything because .wav files don't usually have tags (I think there is a way to add tags, but I don't know the specifics).

wav files have no tags.  If you want metadata (and want to retain lossless, assuming these are lossess to begin with) compress them with FLAC and add the tags.  There's absolutely no reason to be using wav for music.
