database vs. files

Hi. I'm a new rockbox user and I have a question that's hopefully pretty easy to answer.
I know how to add a file, but is there a way to add a file so that you can access it in the database folder and not just the files folder?

Thanks for any help you can give, and I apologize if this is in an faq somewhere.

Well, you must first initialize the database to use it (go to Settings->General Settings->Database->Initialize now
Then, whenever you add news files, do Settings->General Settings->Database->Update now to update the database.

Thanks a lot! That's really helpful.

You could also enable "auto-update" of the database, then after the database is "initialized" it should automatically update the database when you add new songs, or delete them. Maybe reading the database part of the manual (see left hand side menu) will help clear things up. ;)

i wanna ask whether .wav files can add to the database according to artist, album, and so on?
