how do i disable USB om my e280?

i used to have rockbox go into OF whenever i'v put in the usb cable (which means that while in rb firmware, it would restart and go into OF). now after testing the new stack it goes into the rockbox usb mode unless i turn on OF on startup. can i go back to the old way it was befre i did USE_ROCKBOX_USB?

I dont's understand why you define USE_ROCKBOX_USB if you don't want to use the new USB-Stack.

i tried it, didnt like it, it doesnt really work, just pop up windows telling me that a fast usb device is not performing on maximum speed bla bla. i want to get back to the OF usb. whats not to understand here?
i only asked if theres a way to undo it, so the player will restart and start the OF whenever i plug in the cable like it used to do before. thx.

So just undo what you did to enable rockbox USB...

For the record, the new versions, whilst not quite ready for standard builds, work very nicely.

What he meant by "why enable it if you don't want to use it" is "why are you still using a build with it enabled, instead of using a new build with it not enabled again." It seemed rather obvious to me, but I guess that's just me.

i have uninstalled rockbox with sansapathcer + deleted the .rockbox directory, and rb still connects to usb by itself instead of restarting to the OF when i put the cable in.

however, i understand that the usb is supposed to work, so ill be happier if someone could help me get it to work. what i'v done is typing USE_USB_STUCK in the config file in the .rockbox directory. was that what i was supposed to do? cause now when i connect the usb cable all i get is the new hardware found window, and it says it cant install it...

That's not how you enable it at all. You apparently never enabled it, you're just experiencing the fact that the automatic-reboot is broken for some people right now. There is no fix for this but to go back to a quite old build, or wait for the new USB functionality to repair it.

You need to change the Rockbox source code and then compile your own Rockbox build.  Check the wiki page SimpleGuideToCompiling for additional information.

Your better alternative is probably to wait for this functionality to be enabled in the official builds.
