newb with bookmark troubles

I am experiencing bookmark problems with version r16354-080219, downloaded today 2/20/08.  I can set bookmarks and they show up correctly, but when I go to play them the file starts at the beginning instead of at the bookmarked location.  There are a few other recent threads describing this behavior on other players.  Most people say that it began after Jan 17.  I tried the latest build that I could download, from 1/20/08, but the problem was still there.

It's a big enough deal for me that I reverted to the stock iaudio firmware for now.  I need bookmarks, because most of my listening is to audiobooks and lectures.  Does anyone have any other info on this?  Does anyone have a build that they could post where bookmarks are working correctly?  I would love to change over to Rockbox, but I must have properly functioning bookmarks...

That wasn't what I meant.  Why don't you just remove this thread if it's going to be a problem?  I felt that it was tangentially related to install, since all the current versions available to be installed lack functionality that is supposed to be there.  I also thought that here I might get X5 specific help.

They say very, VERY clearly that you should not post here once you've succeeded in getting Rockbox to boot.

I suggest that you search the forums to see if others are experiencing the same issue.  For example, is the problem described in this thread the same as yours?

If not, then you should start a thread in the appropriate forum, which in this case is most likely the Audio Playback forum.

Since there is nothing more productive to be said in this thread, I'll close it and remove it in a while.
