Dir buffer full message displayed

(1/2) > >>

DanRock:

I have an audiobook dir that has 784 files.  When I enter that directory I get the message: "Dir Buffer Is Full!"

This isn't critical for me as I can simply segment the files into sub-dir's.  I don't know what the designed limit might be but 784 files seems extreme in a single dir anyway.

The manual is good for this sort of thing.  You haven't said what player, but I'm going to go ahead and guess some sort of iPod:

DanRock:
Sorry.. the type of player would be helpful.   :'(   It's a Sansa e280.

AlexP:
Well the exact same section of the manual applies, but for E200:

DanRock:
My Max Files was already set to 1000 and MaxPlaylist was already 10,000.

So I shouldn't be getting such an error message, correct?
