scorche:
It doesn't hang.  It simply goes into a different mode.

Gareth Schakel:
you mean to tell me that it deliberately drops into a mode where i have to hard reset (UL hold on power) and restart EVERY time it does so? i think its hanging, especially because i lose ALL CONTROL over the player, backlight remains on (even when programmed to turn off) and the scroll wheel light stays on... and these are not signs of a system hang? really?

That's exactly what mine does when I plug it in while in the RB mode. It's normal and acceptable for what RB offers. I have my RB install set to secondary so I don't have to boot into OEM when I want to plug it in...unless I'm using it at the time, of course.

Gareth Schakel:
I think I wish to know how to set it up so it worked the old way, untill this USB stack in RB gets a hefty overhauling...

lewislink:
That's very easy. Simply uninstall the current build and reinstall your favorite build. I believe there is an "Uninstall" feature in the drive root. Just boot into OEM, plug in and find the Uninstall icon.
