Sansa C240

I cant seem to get my C240 to work. I tryed going into recovery mode and it comes up with a drive. The drive has one file in it called "version.txt". Ive tryed pasteing the original firmware into it then disconnecting it, and it doesent work. I dont know what to do. I had rockbox on it before and it worked fine. I had it playing videos( which was really nice) but then it started to freeze more and more, then i couldent hardly use it because it froze so much.  I could connect it but it would freeze after a few seconds. Please help me. Its my little brothers and i dont want to have to pay for another one.  

BTW when rockbox was on there it was AWSOME.
