reinstalling rockbox on e250r problems

I can't get rockbox to boot after, what i believe, is a successful reinstallation.
Installed the e200-manufac-driver.zip and proceeded to step 2, copied the mi4 files to root and sys directories,
it updated the database,
i rebooted
rebooted again just to be sure
and still no rockbox.

where do i go?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did it do a firmware update at all?

by firmware update do you mean the sansa patcher? yes.

Are you sure it is an e200R? Are you sure it's not a v2?
What is your firmware version? 1.x.x.x means it's a v1, but 3.x.x.x means it's a v2, which rockbox does not work on.
On the OF, go to Settings->Mode. If the options are "Rhapsody" and "PlaysForSure", it is an e200R. If the options are "MSC" and "MTP", it is a vanilla e200.

yes, it's a rhapsody.

i installed it a couple of months ago and then uninstalled it before i gave it to my wife.  now she wants to try it because she doesn't like the OF.

If you unistalled, the bootloader is most likely still patched (did you use e200tool to revert it? if not, it is still patched); therefore, just unzip a current build to your Sansa's root, download the rockbox bootloader for the e200Rs, and put it on the Sansa's root (renamed to "pp5022.mi4" [without the quotes]).
