the ipod patcher doesnt recognize my ipod nano video 8gb

i tried restoring and even copying the patchger on to the ipod but it still cand be read it says ipod cant be found,check on disck mode etc

This is because your player is not one of the ones in the list of supported players on the front page of the site, and Rockbox cannot run on it.
