cant get firmware to update!!!!!!!!!

 i cant get my sansa to use rockbox. i tried everything!

Did you follow all of the steps correctly from the Manual? I didnt have any problems. Please explain more in detail as someone above has said.

I followed the manual, but no firmware update after i put the files. when i turn it on after i disconnect it updates database and does nothing to do withthe firmware.

        also i don't get the recovery mode thing, because every time i do it it just keeps reseting not giving computer time to recognize it.

Did you install the bootloader with Sansapatcher? It sounds like you missed that step.

Do NOT PM me again without me asking you to.

Recovery Mode is only needed for when you really mess things up. All you did was forgot to install the bootloader.

Use Rockbox Utility to help you install the bootloader.

What isn't working ?

You've not said what step you're having trouble with - so "it's not working" could mean anything from "my house burnt down" to "I forgot to plugin in the Sansa to the PC".

If you don't start giving some detail on your issue soon I'm going to lock this thread and give up on you as a troll.

i do everything correctly on the e250R manual, i reset, it refreshes database, then starts normal no firmware update.

If you did everything correctly, then it would be working. Since it's not - we can only surmise you're not doing it correctly.

This is your last warning.

Either take the time to sit down and type out exactly what you did, with exactly what your PC told you at each step of the way, then this thread will be locked.

And by "exactly" I mean precisely that. Not "my PC said something about...." and then something you just make up.
