Sansa e200 stuck in USB mode
mrunderhill:
Hi
I've installed rockbox on my Sansa e200, and I have been happy with it for a while now, but now something VERY weird happened. I plugged it in today to charge it, and left it plugged in. After unplugging I remembered I wanted to transfer some files, so I plugged it in again. I suppose when I unplugged it rebooted to rockbox, but now all I see on the screen is the rockbox interface with a picture of a USB plug on it, and it's not responding to any keypress..I can't even shut it down. I suppose I'll have to let it drain completly, but is there anything I can do if this happens again? Or better, to prevent this from hapenning?
Llorean:
Hold down the power button longer.
mrunderhill:
I tried holding it till my finger came off with no help ;D
Luckily, it did, indeed, drain over night, and now I plugged it in and it's charging and I get Sansa's original firmware, and I can transfer the files. Still, any clue why that happened?
Llorean:
How long, in "real world seconds measured on a clock" did you hold it? Unless your power button is broken, Rockbox can't actually prevent the 15 second powerdown from happening.
mrunderhill:
Well, I'm quite sure it was at least 20s...so I figured somehow it didn't accept any commands.
