I'm a Windows XP User. I just installed RockBox and was looking through themes while I noticed that most of them need patches.
I looked thru the instructions in the link you gave. I have no idea how to get around in Linux (although I played around with OpenSuse some time ago). I'm not in a position to switch my OS either.
How do I get things done in Windows XP? ???
I want to install these patches.

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling is for Windows users. You need to either use cygwin, or VMWare to provide either a linux like environment or a linux virtual machine on Windows. I recommend VMWare, cygwin is slow as hell to compile.
However, the patches at http://solutions-i.org/julius/rockbox/patches/ are many months out of date and some are unnecessary. If you got any of them to patch and compile I'll try and organise a loan to buy a hat shop and eat the contents. It may take some while as buying a hat shop only to consume the stock isn't a great business plan, and with the current state of the world economy I may have some trouble securing the capital.
