Sansapatche.exe / RBUtil Do not Recognize e280.

Windows XP Home.
-I have read the manual and many of the forum messages.  
-I am sure the e280 is in the proper USB mode.  I can see it with Explorer.  I can drag/drop files to the player.  

Sansapatcher.exe does not find the player.  I did uninstall the Sansa Updater and rebooted.  

Since this didn't work, I tried using the RBUtility.  That does not see the player either.  However it WOULD let me uninstall the Rockbox firmware that I had already put on th e280.  

As you can see, the e280 does show up in Explorer:

I must be missing something.  But I just can't figure out what.  I tried doing in manually with Sansapatch.exe and then automatically with RBUtil.  I would appreciate any input.

Hmm.. That "P" at the end of Sansa e200 is curious, but I'm betting that you have a v2 version of the e200, check the wiki or search the forums for how to tell if it is.

Thank you.  Yes, that is the problem, e280 is a v2.  On the back of the player, lower-right corner there is a v2 after the model number (e280 v2).  

Looks like I'm screwed.
