Gather Runtime Data (update playcount) doesn't seem to work...

Hi all!
I've been noticing that on the latest builds, the playcount is not being updated as expected. I have the Gather Runtime Data set to Yes and been using it for a while. I've been updating SVN every 3-4 days since about 2 weeks (prior to that I was using a very old custom build on which the playcount was updating fine).
Here's what i did (on a 60GB iPod video):
I have 4 tracks with playcount = 0. I let them play. As the 4th track is playing, I pause it and then turn it off (by holding play). Then I turn it on, and check the playcounts for these 4 tracks. Only the 4th track has playcount of 1, the others still have playcount = 0.
I did this test a couple of times, and noticed that it only updates the playcount to the track that was being played before the ipod was shut down.
From the Manual, it says that "Runtime data is stored into the database every time rebuffering happens and old track entries are unbuffered from memory."
So.. I am wondering if somehow rebuffering is affecting the previous tracks and only lets the current track to be updated.
I'd like to know if anyone else has noticed this behavior, or can do this little test with the latest SVN... Bascule?
Thanks!!
Ben

Ok...
This seems to be an issue and it is reported in Flyspray already.
