Okay, kids, let's see if we can't fix this one. I'm hoping the hardware isn't totally fubar'd but we'll see I guess. I had RockBox running nicely and then all of a sudden the iPod decided it couldn't find the bootloader. After me trying to reinstall it and a bunch of other things, it now won't even turn up if I plug it into my Ubuntu machine.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows machine to plug it into to see if that'll fix it. Last time I was able to scrounge one (in Swedish, so I wasn't totally sure I was doing the right thing) I could see files, but some of them, particularly the ones in the .rockbox subdir, were allegedly in use and could not be deleted.
Am I able to reset the factory settings on Linux, or does anyone else have any ideas/suggestions?
