Is it that simple
« on: January 28, 2008, 08:55:45 AM »
This seems too good to be true surely? 8-)
I'm completely new to this ipod lark but have hundreds of FLAC albums that I thought I would have to convert. :(
However, if I'm reading this right I can just install Rockbox onto my newly aquired G4 grey and away I go?
Can this be any level of FLAC?
I appologise for asking questions that more than likely are out there to find but I tried for about half an hour and started to get confused ???

Any responses would be very much appreciated

Yes indeed. The manual has installation instructions in Chapter 2.

The build for the 4G greyscale is here.

Once you're done, copy your FLAC files and rock on!

Grab this theme and install it.

Grab this theme and install it.
Or better: why not chose it from the list of included themes?

If you want to know how to get album art working I'd suggest the AlbumArt wiki page.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot it was committed! Thanks, pixelma!

Thanks a lot guy's and to the developers of this amazing bit of kit.
I can't stop playing around with the themes and even the album art looks half decent on greyscale.
I made my amp, speakers and modified the line-out on my ipod
Now, with this kit, I feel 100% DIY
Top banana ;D 8-)

I do wonder if this is possible though?

There is no need to spam multiple threads with the same thing, if someone knows they will answer.

Crikey,  ???, I meant no offence. I know what it's like with all these forums, you sometimes post on the wrong one! I was just making sure.

And no offence was taken.  I was just stating for your information for the future that there is no need to cross post.  If you put your thread in the wrong forum it will be moved, and most people who are likely to be able to help read all the forums anyway.  I apologise if you took it the wrong way.
