Cygwin OK on Vista?

I apologize if this has been asked and answered... searching didn't turn up quite what I was looking for.

It's a simple question... will Cygwin run OK under Vista? If not, what are the options for compiling under Vista?

Today's my last day on XP... my employer is forcing a new machine on me tomorrow.

Though as a rough answer, I'm pretty sure everything relevant to Rockbox compiling works.

I'm using cygwin on vista, all works, even ddd with x. But it's somewhat slow.
