Corrupted file
(1/1)
Tenn Man:
I recorded a concert last night with my iRiver H120 using Rockbox. I recorded in the Wavepack format. The concert consisted of 2 sets. When I tried to copy the files to my computer, I got an error message on the second file that said the file was corrupted or unreadable. I also tried to convert the file to Wave using dBpoweramp and got the same message. Does anyone know how I could repair that file?
Thanks for your help.

I would suggest a 2-step process. The first is to get a program designed to copy as much of a corrupted file as possible. There are many of these, but I have used this one.
Once you have the file on your PC, use the wvunpack command-line program with the options -b and -w. This will force wvunpack to blindly decode every valid WavPack block it finds and create a .wav file. You may miss a little bit where your file corruption was, but you should get most of it.
Hope this helps (I know I'm a little late)... :)
