Weird Sansa e200...
« on: January 27, 2008, 08:16:57 PM »
I have installed rockbox the last week and i have some problems...
1. I can't boot in the OF, even if I start my sansa and hold the left arrow.
2. I can't browse in my sansa with my computer, it don't want to install it.(I run in window XP)

Pleeease is there anybody to help me because I can't listen to my music (so shocking!) and this is the primary function of any MP3! :'(

So the installation was succesful?  You used Rockbox for a week without problems?

This is strange, try plugging it in via USB while it's off, it should boot into the original firmware.

Normal, don't worry.  Rockbox doesn't have USB support.

Is it a regular e200 or a Rhapsody model?

when attempting to boot into OF do you see message "Missing OF"
its a problem i had on my 1st install (e280)
go here http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200Unbrick
to reload OF it will over write rockbox bootloader
then be sure to follow directions step by step in manual
http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansae200/rockbox-build.html
id recommend grabbing rbutil http://download.rockbox.org/rbutil/win32/
id imagine they have it setup like qtrbutil for linux
when grabbing your mi4 file be sure to check md5 verification
for this you will need a program that will give you capibility to check it as it isnt built in windows
go here http://etree.org/mkw.html#setup or http://etree.org/md5com.html you dont want to install a corrupt OF so be sure to verify your download

My sansa isn't a rapshody model. And my computer can't install it. Sometimes he even don't recognize it. I' m gonna try the unbrick.
