h340 "check hdd connection

ever since i unplugged the iriver from the usb with out turning off from the computer i cant access the player and always says check hdd connection. can anyone please help me how to solve this problem.

If you reset it with the USB cable connected, does it go into bootloader USB mode?

it goes into charging mode or goes into the screan saying iriver mutli codec juke box ver 1.07 start or check hdd connection. then some times it goes into the player but says o mb free ect and nothing on there.

Sounds very much like a hardware problem. It is possible that the disk has just become slightly disconnected. Can you open the player and reseat the disk?

I have taken out the hard drive and reconnected but still no responce!

That typically means the hard drive has failed, unfortunately, if reseating doesn't work. Did the player by any chance recently get dropped or have a shock of some type?

no i havnt dropped it. just i forgot to tell the cpu i was going to take it out of the usb, ever since then it has failed
