Cagnulein:
Hi guys, i've installed my first rockbox version ( r16095-080117 ) on my iPod 5G.
From when i've installed it, after about 30 minutes of playing, it hangs up with this error:
Undefined Instruction
at 000068DC4 (0)

here you can find my config. If you need other info please tell, i really really want to resolve it :)
Thanks

A quick search of the forums with "Undefined instruction" reveals a plethora of reasons this could happen along with possible fixes, such as:

Rebuild the database, remove the embedded album art from your files, chew your food properly, etc.

It might also help to say what format the files are in (mp3, m4a, wma, etc) and if the problem reccurs in the same song or if it's random.

Cagnulein, do you have a 30GB Ipod or one with a 60 or 80GB disk?

There are two builds for the Ipod Video (or 5th generation) and if you have the model with the smaller disk it is important that you use the right one.

i haven't a database, i'm playing directly from files section. They are all mp3 files and they have embeedded album art. How can i turn off the loading?

i've a iPod with 80gb hard disk...

Does it do this reliably, i.e. every time?

The actual difference between the two iPod videos as far as rockbox is concerned is actually memory size - either 32 MB or 64 MB.  It just so happens that those with 30 GB disks have 32 MB, and 60/80 GB disks 64 MB.  However it is not unknown to get a larger disk with smaller memory (although very rare).

You might try the 30 GB version to see if it helps, although I think 30 mins is a long time for it to run were this the problem.  However, as pixelma points out to me, 30 minutes is roughly 30 mb at 128kbps mp3.  Still, it can't hurt to try.
