sansa c200 file viewer error

when looking at the file viewer i cant view any files except the ones holding the music, pics, original firmware ect. when I add a folder to load things like roms, notes ect. the folder doesn't show up. I am placing them in the root directory and I have gone into rockbox setting and told the file viewer to show all files & folders.

any ideas
