IPOD 3G HELP: How To -VIEW CURRENT PLAYLIST- from -NOW PLAYING-
(1/1)
archy121:
Hello,
My first post so first of all i will say thanks to the people that have put all of the hard work to make ROCKBOX & run these forums !
ROCKBOX has given me FLAC which has made me pick up my ipod 3G again after a year of dusting !
ROCKBOX has one niggle which prevents me from enjoying it much as i could.
I tend to group all of my tracks into lots of various playlists & listen that way. When i am playing a particular playlist sometimes i want to be able to skip forward or reverse to a particular track in the paylist.
So when i am in the NOW PLAYING view, i would like to be able to hit SELECT & jump directly to VIEW CURRENT PLAYLIST page from where i can skip & view tracks in the current playlist.
By default ROCKBOX thows me to the FILES page when i hit SELECT on the NOW PLAYING screen. Is it possible to configure/script/plugin ROCKBOX to behave as i want it to ?
I am using FW: rockbox-ipod3g-FW-v1611
The latest FW was freezing up ipod on start.
Any advice would be most helpful. ;D

Only by changing the code yourself, and compiling your own build.
dip:
It is possible by pressing and holding SELECT which brings you to a context menu including a "playlist" item. Select this item and in the next menu there is an item "view current playlist". There is a patch in flyspray #6082 which even changes the order of the menu entries to make selection of the playlist viewer easier. The patch was rejected but still works against the current svn.
