IPOD 60GB Video Freezing problems..

Hello -

Recently, my IPOD 60GB video is having some problems freezing. While holding the SELECT and MENU used to take care of this, now it locks until the battery runs out. This has happened several times when I'm changing back to the original IPOD software, and today it happened with the Rockbox software.

When I try to plug it in, the computer will not mount it as a device. Generally, when inserting a USB device into my computer it will make a low then a high tone beep. Now, it will give three low tone beeps and it doesn't show up in any software. It does indicate a '?' in device manager.

Also, recently the IPOD does not mount consistently. I have to plug it in 3-4 times to get it to mount. Again, my computer makes the three low tone sounds.

Any ideas? It may be a hardware problem, but that'd be a pain to deal with - I live in Malaysia!
