Can't loan OF on Sansa e260r
(1/1)
ray180:
I installed Rockbox on my sansa e260r a few days ago and everything seemed to work fine. Yesterday when I was in the original firmware and chose "Play All Tracks", the player did a reboot and I haven't been able to load the OF since. Each time I try (by pressing left+power), the boot loader seems to load correctly but after it displays the Sansa Rhapsody logo, the player boots again. I can't get past that screen. Rockbox still works fine.
I tried to update the original firmware by going into recovery mode, but I couldn't find a recovery partition. What should I do?
Thanks!

I'm sure you can find some useful topics in the forums about this. There's also some useful info on this wiki page: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200Unbrick

After searching the forums and reading the wiki, it seemed that I needed to recopy the original firmware by going into recovery mode. When I try this, I see the "Welcome to Recovery Mode" screen on the player and connect the USB cable. But then I can't find a "16MB USB drive" recovery partition in Windows Explorer that the unbricking instructions describes, so there's nowhere to copy the OF to. Do I need to look somewhere else for the partition?

I got it working. Tried recovery mode on a different computer and was able to find the partition. The instructions worked from there.
Thanks for the help!
