No retailOS detected

First of all - I use Rockbox almost 1,5 years and never really bothered with the original firmware. But now I wanted to try it again, but when I want to boot it it shows "no retailOS detected".
So what did I do wrong and how do I fix it?
Ipod 60GB Video V5(I guess)

You can restore it in iTunes, but make sure that you have anything on it you want backed up as the restore will format it.

thx - that was the answer I expected but hoped it wouldn't be...  :'(
