Annoying text over image problem with theme

<< < (4/4)

karashata:
I've made a number of themes myself, though nothing as...  complicated?... as this one seems, and I've noted that images will display over text if the text line is above the image display line.  Similarly, text will display over an image if the image display line is written above the text line.  In *most* situations the best course of action is to put all the image display code at the end of the file after all the text display code, that way the images don't end up covered by the text or with blank lines in line with displayed text to the left or right of the image.

MarcGuay:
I've noticed that too, and it's almost worthy of putting in the CustomWPS wiki...

I tried the reordered wps and nearly all of the icons display properly...  Bizaarely the middle replaygain icon (speaker) displays fine for a few seconds, then a screen refresh seems to occur and half of it is overwritten (see attached screenshot5.jpg).  Inexplicible ;D

Nevermind, don't waste any more of your time looking at it. I'm happy with the battery text being static since you don't have to wait for a maximum of 20 seconds just to see the time remaining if you happen to be on the % cycle.

Well guys, thanks for all your help. Very much appreciated. I've moved on to looking at the source code... S'been a long while since I coded in C.

Is that from a visual complexity or wps coding point of view?

karashata:
More from a visually complex point of view, though I would think that the visual complexity would also add some coding complexity as well in order to make everything work as desired.  In any case, it does look like a rather nice theme.
