Is there a method to place text exactly from the top like you can place an image?  I couldn't figure out a tag that would work.  Is there such a thing?

I would guess not since I haven't seen it, but it never hurts to ask.

Not presently, but viewports will allow just this.  Check out the patch on the tracker.

Not talented enough to apply patches yet.  I don't have linux without rebooting and I don't feel like fooling with VMware to learn, unless I misunderstood the wikki.  I may have since I just skimmed it.

I downloaded tdtooke's build and am using multifont for the problem I had.

I didn't want to use Nimbus 13 all the time but it works in rockflow pretty well if the album art is increased to 150x150.  Otherwise placement is a pain to get right.

I like the 150x150 size.  I'm more keen on the visual than the text anyway when the music is playing.  Most of the time my iPod is in the docking station anyway.

Edit:  Oh yeah thanks anyway  ;D

Fine, but don't forget that is unsupported.  If you want any support outside of the thread for that build you will need to go back to an official build.

Soap also has viewport test builds up:

If they don't have multifont I'll have to live with it for a while.

Multifont wasn't supported with the daily I was using before. :(

Multifont is a patch not in SVN.  As I say, you are welcome to use unsupported builds, but as the name suggests they are unsupported.

Subversion, the source code repository.  What rockbox is built from.

I take your word for it.   ;D

Sorry not my field.  I'm fair at figuring a few things out, but that's a little over my head there.
