iPod Video Battery

Does anyone know if a iPod 80 gig battery will work in a 30 gig?  The 80 has a larger battery capacity.  Unless there is a difference, why wouldn't you switch if you had to replace it?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the battery for the 80 GB is bigger and may not fit in the case of the 30 GB.

You're right, Febs. The 80GB batteries are just a little bit bigger, just big enough that they won't fit properly in the case for a 30GB.

I'm modding my 30gb for the bigger battery. you have to get two other things however:

the large back panel and the headphone jack for the 60 model. the prices are pretty steep, you can find them for much cheaper on ebay, which is where I ordered them yesterday. can't vouch on the quality yet, though.
