You left out a lot of information. Please write it all down. Those numbers and such mean things that actually matter. We didn't put them there just to be pointless.

And you'll need to do the same thing trying to boot rockbox too. It says "loading original firmware" which means you either tried to boot the original firmware, or your rockbox.mi4 is missing.

Well, I can't read your mind.

I've told you that we don't know enough without the information. So, you have a choice: Spend the time to get your Sansa fixed, or decide you don't want it fixed.

I really cannot see your Sansa from here, so I don't know what they say. If you don't want it fixed, fine, I can remove this thread so it doesn't spam search results, and we can go our separate ways.

But you asked for help, and I'm telling you what information we have to have to know what you've messed up. Have you tried recovery mode?

Listen. The screen isnt new. The screen is just the usual screen people get whenever they boot up their Sansa with RockBox. It's no different.

Listen: You don't know what you're talking about.

Those numbers tell us whether certain files and data are corrupt, and specific hardware information that may differ from player to player. Depending on which model of player you have, which build you installed, and whether certain files are good or not, the numbers will be different.

So no, they are NOT the same for everyone.

If you want help, stop pretending like you know more than the people who created the software.

Honestly, you've just called me a liar. I told you they were meaningful, and you claimed that information was untrue. If you call me a liar again, I'm done with you. I'm volunteering to help here, I told you what information is necessary, and you who knows nearly nothing about the software claimed it wasn't important.

Also: Recovery mode, have you tried it?

I shouldn't have to ask questions more than once. If you want help, act like it. Answer questions the first time they're asked, trust that people know more than you do, because they do, and don't go out of your way to get on peoples' nerves.

http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/mi4.html Make sure to get the right one for your player, pick the version you like, and JUST get the MI4, not the ROM. Then rename it to PP5022.MI4 if it's not named that already, and move it over to the player.

You don't put it in version text. You put it on G:.

And the e260 is the "e200 series", so as long as it's not an R, any of the e200 ones will work (pick American or European based on where your player came from).

I wonder if that's the reason that installer didn't work...?  Any harm in installing a vanilla firmware on an R?
