Playback problems with NSF files

Ok, this is actually great...I just downloaded build r16150m-080123 from http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=14904.0 to begin to evaluate potential battery life increase and now NSF playback is almost perfect with regards to the problems I was experiencing.

As with all new builds I cleared the settings and began turning options on one at a time (such as last.fm logging, dir cache, follow playlist, etc) as I like to have them set, and even loaded a new theme. This is wonderful, finally I can fully enjoy NSF playback!

What bothers me is that I have no idea what changes to the source may have led to this improvement...
