computer wont reconize ipod (rockbox already works)< not anymore

doesnt it have to show up in itunes to restore it?

am i suposed to do HDD R/W or HDD Scan? im assuming scan... and actually, i forgot what it said, im doing it again now, will edit post when its done...

edit: i left the HDD scan on all night, and it still just says "HDD scan" should it take that long?
