Sleep timer with fade out and no backlight

When I use the sleep timer I sometimes wake up since music is turned off rudely and in addition backlight is turned on (which is quite bright in a dark room if using an iPod 5.5G 80GB).

I would prefer that music is smoothly faded out and backlight is not turned on when the sleep timer reaches its shut off time.

Any comments against that proposal. Otherwise I will file a feature request in flyspray.
