License Question on RettumBox Theme

Can someone tell me what the license is on RettumBox? I started using a derivative of it that was CC-SA but now going back I can't find the original license.

I see no info whatsoever in the original theme, which means the author holds all rights by default.  I don't know which derivative of which you speak - but I assume the author of that one has no rights to make his copy CC-SA.

I remembered that this theme was discussed here in the forums first and a short search for "rettumbox" turned up this thread. Judging by some posts there the author doesn't seem to have anything against new "ports" and variations but you could also ask there (or in a personal message) about it and if (s)he is willing to state a specific licence for it.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for. He seems to give permission to port it and he did release the layered file to make it easier. Having his board name let me shoot him and email so hopefully I'll get a definitive answer.

Ask, beg, plead with the original author to include a license notice in his original theme - it would be so nice if we could chase the chain of license.

I have been in touch via email with him and he has agreed to license RettumBox as CC-SA. He is also gratified to hear that people like his design.
