Help! NONE of my WMA files plays on Rockbox!
(1/1)

Hi,
I'm new here. When I started using MP3 players a couple of years ago it seemed a good idea to use WMA since pretty much every player (except Apple) supports it and files are a LOT smaller than MP3, particularly the way I encoded them: I used VBR Quality 10.
Exakt encoding parameters using the WMCmd.vbs Script (via foobar2000):
-a_codec WMA9STD -a_mode 2 -a_setting Q10_44_2 -audioonly
This seemed appropriate since at least I can't hear a difference with most music, audio books etc.
and it worked PERFECTLY with my old and mostly unexpensive MP3 players and it does so with the original Sansa firmware too.
Rockbox however is unable to play any of my files :'(
Examples of the files that won't play on Rockbox are here:

Thank you in advance for your help!

Added to my todo list. Out of curiosity, what version of WMP was used? It'd be interesting to actually be able to produce a file like this.

@ Saratoga:
That's what I was hoping for. :)
The hosted files are encoded using WMP10.
I tried WMP11 as well with the above mentioned options (VBR quality 10), but to no avail.
(Meaning that Rockbox can't play them).
Btw. the exact version of the encoder seems to be embedded in the file header of the WMA file,
in this case it's 10.00.00.4054
Thank you for looking into this.
