Battery Benchmark plugin and Emergency Shutdown
« on: January 13, 2008, 07:15:47 PM »
The original battery in my h140 is pretty weak nowadays so I bought a cheap 2200 mah off ebay. I decided I'd like to run Battery Benchmark plugin and compare the old battery to the new one. When the test on the old battery was almost done, the unit couldn't spin up the disk anymore. The problem is it kept trying for 5-10 minutes before it finally gave up and shutdown. I'd expect it to give up after about 3-5 failed spinups. That can't be good for the hard drive. Is there a way we can improve the low voltage detection and failed spinup = shutdown thing?
