Rockbox equalizer for the 5g ipod video

Hi guys and sorry if this is not the right place to post this so mods if u read this please put this in the proper thread and please forgive me . Ive been struggling with the rockbox equalizer for a while now and i am out of ideas i know that ya can probably help me out here cause this is getting me so frustrating. I have the white ones by the way. please help me i just want a rich nice sound to come out of my headphones i dont know anything bout equalizers so please.

First, please read the forum guidelines and make the appropriate changes to your post to meet them.

Secondly, headphones at that price point are likely to not give "rich nice sound" no matter what you do with an equalizer. Unless you have a frequency response graph for them it's unlikely anyone can help you, anyway.

well i also have the official apple ones are those any good?

Your problem with the in-ear headphones probably has nothing to do with the equalizer or even the player, but with the way you insert them into your ears.  Search the web for more information on how to do this properly.

And Apple iPod stock headphones are generally crapped upon by anyone and everyone.  Your $12 headphones should give you markedly superior sound if you get them sealed in your ears properly.

i know this but i just wanted to know if ya knew a good setting for the equalizer or if maybe someone can send me the .cfg backup of their eq settings. Thx alot marcGuay

I use a flat EQ because I figure the people who produced and mastered the music had a pretty good idea of what it should sound like.  Find out what sounds good to you and go with it.

xBlackChaosx:  Please READ the forum guidelines.  This is now your second warning.  Specifically the part about use of proper words.  "u", "thx" and "ya" are not acceptable.  We have many blind users that rely on screen readers, and many people without English as a first language.  You are doing them no favours.

@xBlackChaosx- Try posting your question over at the Head-Fi.org forums, a great site catering to headphone-philes.  Also, there was a post in one of the Rockbox General sections where the topic author posted his test results and recommended EQ settings based on the frequency response of your headphones.  I tried to post a link but the forum search function seems to be broken at the moment...
