Gigabeat's HDD not recognized after hard reset (was: please help!!!)

My gigabeat used to have rock box on it and i had accidentally put the battery button in the other direction and reset the hard drive now when i turn it on it looks for the firmware but nothing is there also the computer doesn't even recognize it so i cant replace the firmware please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
