backlight turns off in certain plugins (sansa e200)

with r16036-080109 installed on my sansa e280 the backlight turns off while in textviewer after the time set in "backlight" is elapsed (when no button is pressed of course...). this also applies to certain other plugins. i tried the demos. this is what i found:

• backlight turns off:
  bounce, cube, logo, mandelbrot, matrix, mosaique, snow, vu_meter
• backlight stays on:
  demystify, fire, fireworks, oscilloscope, pictureflow, plasma, starfield

is this wanted behaviour or a bug? i know, one can solve this by using a *.cfg. i'm just wondering why this has been changed. but i guess, this is a bug, because there's obviously no reason (to me at least ) for such a behaviour.

I have an e200 and it works fine on mine. try getting the latest build it might help
