Regaurding Sansa e250r

I dont know how to do this. I know this has to be a real sansa e250r. I dont know if e200rpatcher will work for e250r's.

You might have a v2.  What firmware version do you have?

Well this sucks. To answer your question yes i do have a e250v 2  :(. Which is odd. I bought this at Best Buy and the box says SANSA e250R Rhapsody. I had done a little surfing on this problem and i had found some1 else that had the same problem that i have. >:(

I think I am going to go return it. I think they like, Ripped me off an stuff.

"We purchased 2 Sansa e250r boxes from BestBuy on black Friday,  opened one up for my daughters xmas present,  and tried to connect to her computer.  It would not connect,  so we looked in the manual, inclosed in the box, which clearly stated "Sansa e200R Rhapsody Quick Start Guide".   It described how to set up MSC (Mass Storage Class) USB connections for Windows XP to recognize the device as a removable disk.   Problem was that there was no such option under the Settings menu.   To make a long story short, we ultimately found out that the actual Sansa model that was in the package, was NOT the Rhapsody model,  but rather the e250v2,  which does not contain the Rhapsody preloads, or any Rhapsody support.  The packaging clearly states e250r, with a BestBuy logo as part of the package carboard,  but the actual unit enclosed is the e250v2.  The correct model number can be found on the back, lower right corner of the Sansa unit,  with the (v2)  in VERY small print after the e250 designation.   I believe another way to find out is to look at the version of the firmware, under the Settings option called "Info".   If the version has a "3" in the first digit, then it is likely to be the v2 model,  not the Rhapsody model."

Bestbuy e250r packaging, but e250V2 inside  ???

I have NO CLUE man sorry. But i want to go back to BEST BUY and talk to them about this. It is upsetting for me when i go to buy something and it says one thing but i get the other >:(. I just want rockbox on mine so i can play doom. But know i find out about this problem which pisses me off. It is only 10 days old too.
