Need new Rockbox player - Suggestions?

(1/2) > >>

My iPod nano's screen got cracked - by my butt apparently  :P. The screens useless, it won't display anything. My warranty's no good and repairs seem to cost as much as a new device.  I'm deciding on a replacement.

What platform does Rockbox run best on?

I believe this (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/BuyersGuide) is the page you seek.

P.S. Nice!

I have an ipod nano, too. It's actually very stable with rockbox and I simply love it. It's too bad that yours broke... You can look into replacement LCDs for it on ebay and also just by searching google.

If you want another player altogether, I would look into (maybe) an ipod video, gigabeat or a sansa e200.

D'oh! I should have checked that first. My apologies. If a moderator would like to delete my post...

depends on what your looking for.  if you want to use rockbox all the time, i wouldn't exactly suggest the sansa e200 because of its power issues (that's a shame, because its really nice aside from that little detail.)

otherwise, if you just looking to use rockbox sparingly (to pass time playing games 'n stuff) it is a good platform for it.
