Sansa E260: Problem with Sanapatcher.exe

I hope that someone out there can help.

I recently unzipped the Rockbox software onto my E260 with no problems, however, when I try to run the sansapatcher.exe program, the program keeps telling me that no Sansa disks have been found even though I can see it in the My Computer screen.

I have tried the Lock button, press center button while turning the unit one hoping that would help the sansapatcher to see the e260, but that did not work either.

I have tried downloading the sansapatcher several different times over the past week thinking it was a software problem, but that did not help either.

I am able to download songs onto the E260 with no problem.

Any ideas as to why I cannot install the sansapatcher.exe boot program??

Perhaps you have a version 2 sansa ?

What version is the current firmware you have on it ?

Sorry for the delayed response.

the firmware version for my E260 is 3.01.14

Unfortunately that is a v2 model that rockbox does not run on.

Do you have an idea when and if Rockbox will support the V2??
