ipod audio decoding issue
(1/1)
Elemeno:
Alright, I know most people don't take a users first post seriously but I thought that this place would be the most understanding. I have an iPod video that has been acting up, It appears to be working fine, although there is one extremely devastating issue I must ask for help with; It does not decode audio, the song appears to stay at 0 seconds and then freezes and cannot be reset/shut off until the lack of battery power shuts the unit down. I had reverted my software to the original firmware to see if the issue was isolated to the rockbox Firmware, but I had the same issue. I hope someone out there can help. Thanks.
GodEater:
Could you let us know which revision of Rockbox you're using, as per the forum guidelines. Could you also please post the content of rockbox-info.txt as well ?

If by that you mean that the original Apple firmware does not play music at all, then it is very likely you have a hardware problem with the unit and Rockbox cannot fix that...

Update: The unit will not even power on... I phoned apple support and they want me to pay for their $45 shipping fee (not happy about this) . Thanks for those who responded.
