Sansa E series not indexing 6gig micro sdhc

Hi, been using Rock box for about a year with a 2gig microsd card, no problems. Just installed a 6gig micro sdhc card. I can see the card and what is on it in files view as well as listen to the music. However when I use the data base and browse by artist, album......... the files on the card do not show up. Can't understand what is going on. Any suggestions? I am currently using version r15997-080104. Is this a bug? I pretty sure I saw that the sdhc cards were supported. Thanks

Just did. Seems to be good now. Had it set for auto update though. I would have thought by putting the new card in it would have run the auto update. Thanks

It only auto updates if you have dircache enabled, and even then it doesn't work all the time.

hiho.
is it possible to see my music, which i put on a micro sd card on the database?
because i usually search for my music via the artists mode and its a lot better to have each artist together in one folder. (+ it's with id3 tags, which is not the fact in the "files" modus, where i at the moment get to the files on my micro sd card.


and because i'm already asking something... how can i view images&videos? nothing happens when i press select mode (for example after i chose a image in the files mode)

It sounds to me like you're all set up to test this out first hand.  I'm pretty sure it should organize them all properly in the database.

well, actually i tried it out by 2 different ways:

1.i moved an album by the foo fighters directly on my micro sd card
2. i moved the album folder into another folder called "music" (because usually the music is in such a folder)

but in the database i cant see the album of the foo fighters. only when i go to files=> < MICROSD1 >

Did you update the database afterwards?  (I don't even know if this works, by the way).
